Kings of Leon are one of those bands that have a dozen good albums but they didn’t find mainstream success until they released ‘Only By The Night’.  This album was quite a change in direction for the band but it is still another fantastic piece of work. Ben Drew, AKA Plan B ,has a rather large list of achievements. Not only has he had several top 40 hits, he has also starred in and, wait for it, directed several box office hits. The Foo Fighters have been my favourite band since Dave Grohl left Nirvana. I’ve got all of their albums and I’ve seen them live twice. My favourite song is Generator, but this album Wasting Light has some high contenders. The Foo Fighters have been together for around 19 years, and they’ve only been getting better in my opinion. When I saw them at Wembley Stadium in 2010, Dave said that this might be their last gig ever, as well as his best. Read More

The second album from the well known drum and bass duo Chase & Status, released in late January 2011, has been nothing but a success with a number of the tracks making it directly into the charts. With their average-achieving first album “More Than Alot” they accomplished a great sounding bunch of tracks. That being said, its got nothing on some of these tunes. During the three years between the two albums, the main difference is the variety of different songs they have. The majority of the tracks feature a different artist collaboration, like English grime MC Tempa T or Cee-Lo Green. Read More
