Are you looking for the most unique school workshops in the UK? Then read on!

Our unique school workshops in Music Journalism are ground-breaking, yet simple. To recap everything we offer for schools and students, check out our Teachers page.

Music hubs, teachers and schools often ask if we can deliver school workshops directly in your classrooms and colleges. We understand that, so Team Rockhaq offer a range of school workshops, CPD lectures and journalism training to make The Rockhaq Community experience come to life.

When delivering school workshops, we work from our unique lesson plans.

Despite being unique, all our Rockhaq workshops and lesson plans meet the National Curriculum for English Literacy at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Not bad.

Teacher Interview

Don’t just take our word for it. Listen to what English teacher Mrs Qamar had to say after we carried out a series of Rockhaq Workshops at Judgemeadow Community College in Leicester. Hear Mrs Qamar share her thoughts on how she selected students to take part, how our workshops engaged ALL of her students to write hundreds of words and what impact our workshops had on her class.

For reference, we delivered 6x Rockhaq Workshops in How to Write a Great Music Review to a class of Year 9 pupils with mixed abilities.

School Workshops

All our School Workshops are uniquely customised to suit your needs. Although we work from set structures, we never deliver the same set of workshops more than once. This bespoke approach keeps your students fully immersed and engaged, year in and year out.

Student Testimonials

SchoolsI’m really enjoying Rockhaq. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now. Just submitting a review to iTunes isn’t as satisfying as contributing to a proper community. Rockhaq is the best thing I have ever done at school and it has taken over my life. It’s even more addictive than Facebook.”

Sam Brookes, A Level English student, Regent College, Leicester

School Workshops for RockhaqRockhaq is just a really smart and exciting way to bring together a community of young people who are passionate about music. It is possibly one of the best things to ever be created in terms of music blogging. Rockhaq is a wonderful novelty! I also really love that I won tickets to see my favourite live band Muse in concert thanks to Rockhaq!

Mark Wong, BTEC Level 2 Music Technology student, Central Nottingham College
