Album Review: Sigur Ros – Inni
Sigur Ros’ first live album, Inni, combines all of their previously released material and some unreleased tracks into an awe inspiring live performance. The album contains fifteen live performances recorded at the Alexandra Palace in 2008 and begins with the beautiful track ‘Svefn-g-englar’ and ends with the magical ‘Luppulagio’.
The lead singer Jonsi’s vocals are as haunting as ever as he performs each track with a depth of emotion and experimentation. The range of keys Jonsi can get to with his vocals are incredible and he keeps them in falsetto throughout most of the album.
If you are looking for a great album, this album will take you on a journey that will give you barrels full of emotion throughout and will amaze you with the jaw dropping style of music that is Sigur Ros. I would give the album 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone with good music taste.
