Enter Shikari’s third studio release entitled A Flash Flood of Colour which was released on the 16th of January 2012 and maintains all of the electronica and impressive vocals by the lead singer Roughton Reynolds (who also plays numerous instruments) as in the last two albums.This album differs to the bands previous two releases because it has a lot more drum ‘n’ bass (which in my opinion was a very good move for them because it sounds great).

All eleven tracks on the album are written and performed superbly and the vocals by the lead singer are as at least as impressive than they were on the previous two albums. Each track has a different sound and used dubstep to good effect; my favourite song on the album would have to be Search Party because of it’s pure awesome drumming, lead vocals, backing vocals and clever lyrics.

The genre of A Flash Flood of Colour is a mixture of several genres, these include, Post-Hardcore, Electronica, Dubstep, Drum ‘n’ Bass and Alternative Metal. The most impressive thing on the album is how cleverly each genre is combined together in order to create such an epic sound. When you first listen to this album, it literally blows you away with the incredible sound and the fact it gives you such an amazing feeling that makes you just want to get up wherever you are and dance like crazy.

If you haven’t heard of Enter Shikari or even if you have, you should definitely pick up this album from your local store and play it as soon as you get somewhere with a stereo because it is something you will have never heard before and will have you hooked from the first listen. I will give this album a rating of 4 stars out of five for the bands creativity in each track and with each of the genre’s they ingeniously brought to life.
