Yep, it’s the first song on one of the biggest selling albums of all time which probably speaks volumes about our ambitions, but it’ll do for a headline!

As you can see, our new site is live but our work is far from done yet. What we want  is to get Rockhaq into schools and colleges so that we can launch the Rockhaq student rewards, pupil attendance and media enrichment blog for September 2011.

Rockhaq is a new music reviews blog is designed to improve literacy skills, functional skills and media experience for school and college pupils.

What are community member schools? Any school or college that joins Rockhaq becomes a community member and we want all of our members (students and teachers) to play a full role in developing the Rockhaq blog by giving us feedback, telling us what new features you’d like and spreading the word to more pupils, teachers, schools and colleges. There are so many benefits to our new blog system, you can reward students for improving writing skills, functional skills, offer media enrichment and more – all from allowing your students to start writing music reviews and developing journalism experience.

And what will you get as a community member? Obviously you’ll get access to the Rockhaq school blog and rewards system, but we also want to give something back to all of you. Every time we reach a new milestone, we want to celebrate by adding a major new free feature or event that all members can use. Check out our FAQ for more.

In the meantime, take a look around and get in touch. We’re happy to answer questions or visit your school and tell you more about how the Rockhaq rewards system works and how to improve pupil literacy skills, functional skills, get affordable student media enrichment and more. You can show your support on Facebook and Twitter and keep an eye out for school competitions and events we’ll be running soon.

And if you’re a student? You can still get involved! Tell your teachers about Rockhaq and tell them to get in touch with us if you want to write music reviews at your school to win top band interviews. We’re going to run competitions for you too so find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for news.

Either way, we wanna be starting something! Get in touch and make it happen.

But what is Rockhaq? Find out.
