Event: Nottinghamshire music education hub launch
Team Rockhaq will be at the Nottinghamshire Music Hub launch event at The Minster School in Southwell, Nottinghamshire to show all local schools, colleges, teachers and students why Rockhaq is such an innovative and important educational platform for UK music education.
Music hubs are a crucial part of the government’s new National Plan for Music Education. There will be hubs in every city/county from September 2012 for all schools and teachers to provide better music opportunities for their learners and to find out more about music education providers in the UK. The Rockhaq music journalism community fits into teaching curriculums for music and media courses, and can also be used for english students. We primarily encourage students to become music journalists, and foster this learning experience in an innovative virtual and real-world environment.
Rockhaq improves student literacy skills, boosts student engagement levels, provides a rich, forward-thinking digital journalism experience, and can be used inside and outside of the classroom. Pretty cool, if we say so ourselves. Learn more.
As Rockhaq ticks many boxes for UK music education, we’re pleased to be invited along to this event on behalf of the Nottinghamshire Music Hub and Nottinghamshire County Council. If you’re a school or college in the area and you would love to meet some of us and see how Rockhaq works, do come along. We rarely do events so this is a fab opportunity for everyone! Feel free to contact us to say hello before the event and let us know you’re coming. Say hi on Twitter or Facebook if you like too.
There may also be very special Rockhaq cupcakes, so if you want to taste one of these super addictive creations you know what to do… 😉
The Nottinghamshire music hub launch is from 9.30am-1pm on Wednesday 4th July at The Minster School, Southwell, Nottinghamshire
