This is my first ever not Metal/Hardcore show. Pretty exciting stuff. Before I start I should mention that this is not The Skrillex Cell Grey Daze Tour, It’s the Skrillex Grey Daze Tour. Me, not knowing anything about this kind of music and culture as I’m fairly new to it all, assumed that the “Cell” must be a dub step word for support, like an entourage or posse, that’s not the case.
The Cell is a motion sensing computer which picks up Skrillex’s dancing and movement and projects it onto a screen. Due to stage size limitations the Cell couldn’t fit on so it’s just Skrillex.
Careless world is Tyga’s (Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson) second studio album since The Introduction in 2008. Tyga recently came to fame after signing for Young Money Entertainment and releasing the ‘B*tchimthesh*t’ mix tape before Careless World.
Stereo Typical is the debut album by Brighton based British Hip Hop duo Rizzle Kicks. It consists of 14 catchy, cleverly written songs with impressive rapping from the duo. Most tracks are produced by well-known producers like Ant Whiting, Mike Spencer and even Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) who helped produce Mama Do the Hump, which in my opinion is the catchiest track on the album.
This was a mind blowing performance from the Indie rockstars Snow Patrol featuring some amazing new songs from their sixth studio album “Fallen Empires”. They gave a spectacular introduction to the night by using one of their latest tracks “Berlin” which really got the audience chomping at the bit. Throughout the concert they peformed at their total and extrordinary best.
During the show, Gary Lightbody, the lead singer of Snow Patrol accepted the request of two spectacular songs.
Matt Cardle is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist from Essex who won the seventh series of The X Factor. Since then he has released his debut studio album ‘Letters’. His third single from his debut album entitled ‘Amazing’ packs his single of the same name along with a studio recording of his rendition of the beautiful song ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’, a brand spanking new song called ‘All I Said’ and a live version of ‘Slowly’ from The Koko Lounge in London.
This is a review of Fall Out Boy’s fifth studio album Folie a Deux. Fall Out Boy consists of Patrick Stump (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Peter Wentz (Backing Vocals/Bassist), Joseph Trohman (Lead Guitar) and Andrew Hurley (percussion).
The name of the album Folie a Deux is French for “A Madness Shared By Two”. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, California, where some of the members live. There is a total of 13 tracks on the original release, however I have listened to the deluxe version which had an additional six bonus tracks on it, including acoustic and remixed versions of other songs on the album as well as two bonus tracks, one of them being a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” which I thought was excellent.
Leonard Cohen is an american folk singer who has had a career spanning for more than 5 decades with many of his songs being used in popular culture like films, television shows, advertisements. His most recent album Old Ideas is a beautiful masterpiece containing 10 heart-felt tracks. The album begins with the magnificent “Going Home” and you can tell straight away that Leonard’s vocals are still as amazing as they were on his last release Dear Heather, which was also an folk album with cleverly constructed songs.
Enter Shikari’s third studio release entitled A Flash Flood of Colour which was released on the 16th of January 2012 and maintains all of the electronica and impressive vocals by the lead singer Roughton Reynolds (who also plays numerous instruments) as in the last two albums.
If there are any Deadmau5 fans out there, then this song is definitely for you. Even if you’re not a Deadmau5 fan, you should still give his music a chance because he’s so creative and crafty. But that’s not all – it’s fresh and liberating in a way.
Personally I’ve always kept this particular song close to my heart, simply because it’s filled with so much love and detail, and trust me you will love this one.
