Well, well, well…As you all know, I was lucky enough to go along to watch Nicki Minaj at the NIA in Birmingham on Tuesday with Ashton. To my surprise, Miss Minaj turned up at a decent time and was on stage before 9pm! Strutting her ‘thang’, she entered the stage looking like a skittle with a bright blonde wig and brightly coloured clothing from head to toe. We could definitely spot her.
Finally a girl group who I can say have real potential to become massive, and they’re from the UK. Considering that Little Mix are not doing anything for the UK then Stooshe could well be taking their spot. All three girls were born and bred in London. Their newest single Black Heart is a collaboration with US singer Travie Mc Coy, and it seems to be doing the girls a whole lot of favours.
Donna Summer was an American singer who was known for making hit singles during disco era of the late 1970s. She won five Grammy Awards and was was the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the US charts. She passed away on 17 May 2012, and this review is my tribute to her.
The last day of Drake’s UK tour was here, and I think the whole of Nottingham was looking forward to Drake making his final appearance on stage at the Capital FM Arena on the 24th April. Drake aka Drizzy had girls queuing up from 9.30am and the doors wouldn’t open until 6.30pm; bear in mind the weather was awful and chucking it down with rain all day.
Rita Ora is a new artist that is set to have an amazing 2012. Rita Ora has been doing her thing and has recently been signed by Jay Z to his Roc Nation record label. Drake originally wrote this song for Rihanna, but he obviously spotted Rita’s amazing talent, and got her and Tinie Tempah to collaborate together to create a storming track called R.I.P.
‘Oh, Happy days!’ That’s the feeling I got when I left The Theatre Royal in Nottingham tonight. Sister Act: the Musical was absolutely mind-blowing. Now when we think of musicals, people automatically think of things like The Sound of Music, Annie, Oliver, but somehow this was completely different.
Diva, demigod, idol – These are the words I would use to sum up Madonna. For years she has been an icon and touched the world with her musical talent. Madonna’s newest album MDNA will hit the shelves on March 26 2012 and she has made iTunes history with pre-sales.
