‘Oh, happy\u00a0days!’ That’s the feeling I got when I left The Theatre Royal in Nottingham tonight. Sister Act: The Musical was absolutely\u00a0mind-blowing. Now when we think of musicals, people automatically think of things like The Sound of Music, Annie, Oliver, but somehow this was completely different.<\/p>\n
Produced by the world’s most most talented actress Whoopi Goldberg, this musical brings her award winning film to life, musically, and has been performed to perfection by the whole cast.<\/p>\n
From the moment Deloris\u00a0Va Cartier (played by Cynthia Erivo) opened her mouth, I had a tingle\u00a0up my back and my jaw dropped to the floor. Together they all sounded like a bunch of angels that had been sent to us straight\u00a0from heaven.\u00a0 As for the acting, that was spot on, but each vocal was outstandingly superb. Seventeen songs were sung throughout the show and\u00a0I do not have one negative word to say about any of them. Now from me, that is saying something.<\/p>\n
I did not want the show to end. It has to be one of the best musicals\u00a0I have seen in a long time.

I was captivated straight away and was\u00a0drawn to the magnificent harmonies in each voice.<\/p>\n
The music in tonight’s\u00a0show was inspired by Patti LaBelle and The Bluebells as well as Jackie Wilson, so straight away the audience expectations were sky-high,\u00a0and we were not let down. If anything it was uplifting to see such amazing talent and good vocals singing this genre of music.<\/p>\n
I did not want the show to end. It has to be one of the best musicals\u00a0I have seen in a long time. They are performing in Nottingham for two weeks,\u00a0and before they go you must see this!
