As most of you will know, the legendary David Bowie passed away on 10 January 2016. He was just 69 years old. Along with the rest of the world it seems, Team Rockhaq and some of our community members were in shock on hearing this news.<\/p>\n

David Bowie\u2019s musical influence on the 20th<\/sup> and 21st<\/sup> centuries just can\u2019t be stated enough. Some of us wouldn\u2019t be here doing this without having heard and been inspired by seminal tracks like The Man Who Sold The World, Life on Mars and his Queen collaboration Under Pressure in our teenage years. The fact that David Bowie continued to make innovative, critically lauded albums right up until the end of this life is extremely rare and very humbling. Someone who literally dedicates their whole life to making works of genius shouldn\u2019t ever be forgotten.<\/p>\n

We realised that we\u2019ve never had a David Bowie plectrum added to our arsenal of badges for you to win. So we t\"Davidhought we should get around to adding one. It\u2019s here below and just been added to our badges vault. This badge is uber minimal and symbolises David Bowie\u2019s music and status from the iconic Ziggy Stardust era. Really, it couldn\u2019t have been anything else. We\u2019ve called it \u2018Heroes\u2019, after one of our most favourite tracks, and we\u2019ve included the video to the single below if you haven\u2019t yet heard it. We\u2019ve stuck 98 points onto it, which is the numerical sum of his age and the date of his demise. We hope the title of our David Bowie badge \u2013 and the badge itself – gives something for everyone on the community to aspire to\u2026<\/p>\n
