School is now out for all our pilot students. We’re not resting though! We’re now gearing up for the next stage of Rockhaq, which includes making some changes to our site to get it ready for schools all over the UK to start joining the community for September 2012. I’ve been waiting seventeen years for this moment.
Seventeen years.
That’s nearly two decades.
Obviously a lot can happen in that time. Relationships can start, blossom, grow and perish. A life can begin and diminish just as well. World wars can start and end. People’s careers can appear fruitless, moribund – but all of a sudden erupt to put them on a global stage, in front of the watchful eyes of millions of people.

Mark Wong is a 19 year old BTEC Music Technology student at Central Nottingham College who plays guitar, bass and loves a wide range of rock music including Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Mark is considered by some of his teachers to be one of the most able and dedicated students in his year. At first Mark was not interested in joining Rockhaq to write music reviews because he couldn’t see why it would be so interesting/engaging. The results have been awe-inspiring.
